Sponsored Projects Assistance & Response Center (SPARC) Roles and responsibilities within Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF) have been aligned with those in Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) to better serve the research community. Your department has a primary point of contact (Project Manager or PM) in SPF who will partner with your assigned SPA Project Officer (PO) in supporting your department’s research. Your SPF PM should be the contact for your department on questions relating to post-award financial management and reporting, and your SPA PO will manage any pre-award, account set up and subaward inquiries as well as post award sponsor communications. If you have a question that stretches across both areas, we will coordinate to provide a response. When to Contact SPA vs. SPF? We encourage you to contact SPA/SPF by using the SPARC web form.
