Affairs of the Heart,™ now in its tenth year, was established by a group of professional women–physicians, nursing administrators, and health advocates–who volunteer their time to ensure that women are educated about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease.
Each year the Affairs of the Heart™ Committee hosts our Spring Women's Free Health Symposium, entitled, The Health-Wise Woman: New Information—New Options.
The appeal of the symposium is the opportunity for women to spend an entire day gathering important health information. The event offers varied lectures focusing on the many concerns of today's woman.
The event also offers the chance for guests to visit numerous Health Stations hosted by some of the prestigious centers and departments at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons.
The stations offer screenings and health education material.
